
Test Diagnostics Engineer, Essex
Our client needs a Test Diagnostics Engineer to join their Test Department.
The role of the Test Diagnostics Engineer will include the following:
To identify faults down to signal level identifying what component has failed and possible reasons to failure.
Use of Oscilloscopes logic analysers and In Circuit Emulators.
The ideal candidate for the role of the Test Diagnostics Engineer will have the following profile:
Good academic background
A strong digital electronics back ground with Microprocessor experience
Able to read and understand manufacturing data sheets and schematics
At least 5 year's practical experience as a Test Diagnostics Engineer working on some or all of the following:
32/64 bit microprocessors, preferably Intel 80x86 architecture
High performance communications peripheral devices, e.g. Gigabit Ethernet
Complex programmable logic devices
High performance bus architectures e.g. PCI-Express, RapidIO, CompactPCI or VME
High speed digital logic (400MHz and faster)
Advanced memory technologies, e.g. DDR or DDR III SDRAM
Working knowledge of the following would be a distinct advantage: VME bus, CPCI, VPX, PMC, XMC architecture
