Senior Embedded C Software Engineer - Edinburgh

Experienced Senior Software Engineer immediately required in Edinburgh to strengthen the current highly skilled capability of the teams developing embedded real time software for a number of new leading edge E-Scan airborne radar development programmes aimed at fast jet platforms.

Software development primarily employs Object Orientated Design Methodology supported by an integrated platform of tools covering the development process through requirements definition, creation of requirements and design models, code generation through to integration and test.

Suitable applicants for this role must have experience in the following areas of software development:

Real time embedded software development using C, C++ or Ada 83/95
Use of OOD tools and techniques
applying the full software lifecycle from requirements analysis through to integration and test
hardware/software interfacing

Experience of the following toolsets would be beneficial:

DOORS; Gateway
UML tools such as Rhapsody
QAC; Vectorcast
Dimensions configuration management
VxWorks RTOS; Workbench/Tornado
