Are you an experienced design engineer/manager in the semiconductor equipment industry? Are you looking for an opportunity to work on the next era of semiconductor technology?
Our client is one of the leading providers of X-ray light source technologies in the world of nanotechnology. They are currently researching and developing a new X-ray inspection system which will find itself on semiconductor mass manufacturing floors. They now need an OEM experience project/design manager to steer the R&D for this venture in the right direction. This is an 18 month contract, as the R&D phase of this project will cover an 18 month period, before it is transferred to the manufacturing site.
The successful candidate will be required to:
Build and recruit a team that will deliver project short-term and long term objectives.
Develop appropriate plans, with clear targets, in order to accomplish the project - on time and within budget.
Reviewing resource allocation, resolving and escalating any issues.
Develop and review existing key business process, and helping the introduction of NPI processes.
Design, develop and review tools, process and risk management to insure the successful introduction of the NPI program.
Manage the project life cycle.
Co-ordinating with other departments internally, ensuring fluid communication amongst internal teams.
Process improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will have the following
Existing experience leading the development of capital equipment in the semiconductor industry.
A degree in a relevant course (engineering/physics etc). Project management accreditation would be advantageous.
Experience handling multi-disciplinary development team. Strong Software development would be a bonus.
A good overall understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
Advanced management skills, such as strategic planning, team building and leadership skills.
