The Redline Group are currently seeking an experienced contract Mechanical Design Engineer - NX to provide development expertise on cutting edge automotive systems.

Based from offices in Oxfordshire, this contract role is initially for 6 months.

Position Overview - Mechanical Design Engineer - NX
-Previous design of automotive, F1 or specialist vehicles highly preferred.
-Material selection and specification of moulds, carbon structures, fault finding, quality issues and plastics
-Production engineering, NPI (New product introduction) and DFM (Design for Manufacture) a distinct advantage.
-Prior experience reducing product cost.
-Professional NX user with an appreciation of Catia for Legacy drawings.
-Some product migration work will be involved, extracting innovative ideas from existing products to incorporate them into future designs or those destined for a different environment.
-Knowledge of production and bringing a product to market.
-Composite knowledge would be useful but not essential.
