The successful RF Design Engineer, 2G, 3G, LTE, Bristol will be responsible for the specification, integration, testing, debugging and support of multiple radio standards within their designs. This will involve working closely with other engineers across the company to refine the hardware architecture, test requirements and methodologies to cover both individual block performance and coexistence issues on a range of hardware platforms. The role will also encompass supplier road mapping, test kit selection, automated test environment requirement specification, as well as bench level work such as matching, component testing, etc.
The ideal RF Design Engineer will require extensive experience of integrating and problem solving RF systems as well as detailed knowledge of GSM/WCDMA/HSPA/LTE RF system requirements. Experience with RF PCB design and verification as well as RF system calibration and production is also a must as well as good team working and communication skills as you will be working with a team of exceptional engineers developing the most exciting cellular designs around today. Some knowledge of 802.11, BT, GPS/Glonass, FM radio, NFC systems are desirable but this is not essential as long as you have a desire to learn new skills and a passion for RF Design techniques.
As well as the above skills the successful RF Design Engineer, 2G, 3G, LTE, Bristol will need to have an excellent academic background in a suitable discipline as well as proven experience in a similar role.
