Based in Malaysia, this is an exciting opportunity for an Power Supply Design / Applications Engineer with a focus on Power Conversion and Power Solutions in a Semiconductor environment. The client is a leading provider of end-to-end design services supporting fabless, electronics and semiconductor companies as well as manufacturers worldwide.
As an Applications Engineer, responsibilities will include: Supporting and engaging customers to obtain successful design wins, interface with internal key figures and customers to define next generation power conversion systems, write technical documentation / product briefs and work closely with both the design team and business development team for customer satisfaction.
The ideal Design / Applications Engineer will have a proven track record in supporting and acquiring new customers, have hands on experience and be educated to a degree level in Electronics / Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years in industry, preferably Semiconductor power solutions. To stand out, the ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of the LED market, applications and derivatives and be confident in conducting schematic capture (OrCAD) as well as PCB layout tools (PADs etc). Versatility in Analog Electronics, Power Devices and EMI is a plus.
