Based in Hertfordshire, our client, a leading radio communication equipment designer/manufacturer is currently seeking an RF Design Engineer to undertake join their engineering and R&D team focusing component level RF designs of VHF, UHF transmitter, receiver, power supply and other analogue circuits.
The successful RF Design Engineer will have experience in the following areas:
- Constructing prototype circuits, operating test equipment and supporting designs up to and beyond production
- Team working (will be comfortable in a multi-disciplined team with other electronic engineers, software developers, mechanical engineers and PCB layout)
- Comprehensive understanding and awareness of the latest technologies and practices being used in land mobile communications and determine their suitability for new designs.
- Highly knowledgeable of EMC and RF specifications & precautions (thus will be able to apply to designs while working to an agreed budget)
Proven RF design experience in the land mobile and or wireless communications domain is essential, UHF, VHF transmitter and receiver exposure.
Advanced EMC knowledge is highly advantageous however a basic understanding of the relevant specifications and precautions is acceptable.
