Senior Hardware Engineer – PCB Circuit Design, Scripting, RF Electronics, High Volume Manufacturing. c£42,000 + Excellent Benefits, Cambridge.
Cambridge based technology team currently seek a Senior Hardware Engineer to work on designs for high volume manufacturing of electronic consumables. Working within a specialised team, project work will focus on supporting the requirements of Tier 1 customers (ensuring compatibility of existing systems and relevant testing/analysis). Specific responsibilities will include: use of Altium Designer for PCB circuit designs, prototyping, script debugging, use of digital and analogue/RF lab equipment, and relevant documentation skills.
Key requirements:
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject (Electronics, Engineering or similar).
- Proven experience in design and layout of hardware for high volume manufacturing.
- Experience in design, implementation and relevant testing of RF systems.
- Strong hardware debugging skills.
- Soldering and fine mechanical assembly skills.
Any of the following skills would be desirable: writing MATLAB scripts; wireless systems; knowledge of common digital interface standards (such as SPI, USB etc…); and exposure/use of C/C++.
