Further information

Summary: Experienced Hardware Engineer, VHDL, FPGA, signal processing, managing production runs, Guildford, to £45k + 10% pension.

This small consultancy develops specialised hardware and software for UK government and small technology companies.  They are frequently asked to develop unique processing algorithms and high speed digital signal processing solutions and this new role is for an experienced hardware engineer to join a growing team.

The Hardware Engineer must have an excellent academic background (at least a 2.1 from a top university with good A level grades and, ideally, a PhD as well) and MUST be a UK national as high level security clearance is needed.  You will have strong experience developing VHDL for FPGAs, preferably for signal processing applications, and some capability in C/C++. Experience of managing small production runs will be a real plus.

Coupled with strong technical skills you will also have excellent personal communication skills.

Keywords: VHDL, FPGA, Digital, Analogue, Surrey, Guildford, 2.1, 1st, PhD, production run.

Please note: even if you don't have exactly the background indicated, do contact us now if this type of job is of interest - we may well have similar opportunities that you would be suited to.   And of course, we always get your permission before submitting your CV to a company.
