The Role : To Be Based In Chester

Energetix Group is a leading developer of new energy products. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer to work on the development of a micro-chp Organic Rankine Cycle.

The Organic Rankine Cycle combines heat exchangers, a pump and an expander in a novel design to produce a low weight, low cost domestic micro-chp appliance for the home, capable of saving 1 tonne of CO2 per household per year.

A 3D CAD Designer is required to assist in all aspects of this product design.

Experience:

Autodesk Inventor

Autodesk Vault document management system,

Specific experience of the following areas:

Design for volume manufacturing, DFM

Experience of volume manufacturing.

Sheet metal work (Thin plate, up to 2.0mm)

Plastic moulding

Good conceptual design

Domestic household appliances (e.g. boilers, white or brown goods)

Light industrial goods

Working knowledge of the following would be an advantage:

Domestic or light industrial wet heating appliances

Refrigeration systems

Air conditioning systems

Heat pumps systems.

Personal Skills

You will be able to multi-task and communicate well with others. You will be self motivated and have strong attention to detail. You must be able to work as part of a close knit team, or independently as required.
