The Redline Group are currently seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer - Analogue / Digital to provide development and support expertise to a customer who develops bespoke research instrumentation. Based from offices in Buckinghamshire, your responsibility will cover 20-30 instruments comprising of varying complexity and technology.
Position Overview - Hardware Design Engineer - Analogue / Digital
-Analogue and digital circuit design. (60% - 40%) including DAC's ADC's.
-Product Data Management (PDM) including part creation, engineering changes, bills of materials
-Working closely with firmware and mechanical engineers to troubleshoot problems reported from manufacturing and the field on current products
-Translate product requirements into functional specifications
-Undertake sub-system design and analysis
-Schematic capture, bill of materials, and liaison with PCB layout company
-To commission and evaluate PCBs and sub-systems during product development to ensure their quality and fitness for purpose
-To define manufacturing test procedures
-Facilitate the transfer of the product into manufacturing
About You:
-Good honours Degree in Electronics
-Analogue and digital circuit design, layout and optimization
-Low-level programming in C and assembler
-Experience of product development within a multi-disciplinary team environment
-Previous involvement in most aspects of the development life cycle, from initial analysis and design, to implementation, testing, documentation and transfer to manufacturing
Desirable:
-EMC / compliance testing
-VHDL programming
-Digital signal processing
-Prior development of Electronic Instrumentation
