My Client a Hertfordshire based leading Technology Company are seeking an experienced Linux Driver Software Design Engineer to join there small dynamic team responsible for creating and developing driver software for next generation video hardware on Android and Linux..
They are looking for an intelligent and forward thinking Linux Driver Software Design Engineer who shows a real passion for software and driver's development that enjoys working off there own initiative in order to complete the projects at hand. This position requires a self-motivated engineer as you will be responsible for the design and implementation of video drivers for Android and Linux. This is an exciting opportunity for people who are not afraid to step outside of their comfort zones and who are looking to be instrumental in the design and implementation of drivers for future hardware.
The successful Linux Driver Software Design Engineer needs to have at least 3 years C or C++ programming experience and you are likely to be tested throughout the recruitment process in order to prove that you have the desired experience. You will also need to have a real passion for Linux operating systems as well as experience in Linux kernel programming.
Candidates with experience writing drivers on Android are preferred but it is not essential if you are a quick learner with good problem solving skills and an ability to pick up new technologies.
The successful Linux Driver Software Design Engineer will also need to have at least a 2.1 degree in a related discipline (MSc or PhD is preferred) and preferably have a minimum of 5 years experience designing Linux drivers/ Linux Kernels.
