A unique opportunity has arisen to join one of the world's leading brands involving a mixture of chemical technology, automation & high level electronics as a Development Engineer - Mechanical Obsolescence to work on equipment incorporating electro-mechanical systems, pumps, valves and electronic sensor technologies and instrumentation at their site near Bristol. This exciting role is paying from £28k to £35k dependent on experience and commutable from Cardiff, Newport, Chepstow, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Swindon, Bath and Yeovile.

As the Development Engineer - Mechanical Obsolescence you will be responsible for supporting NPI activities in relation to obsolescence for sub assemblies on my clients systems. This will include 3-D CAD design/review and updates, cost reduction activities, testing, report writing, creation of BOM's and selecting components.

Requirements for the Development Engineer - Mechanical Obsolescence role include;
Degree Qualified or have appropriate engineering experience
3-D mechanical design experience
Experience in the test and development of products such as instrumentation is preferred
Ability to read P&ID (piping and instrumentation diagrams)
