This major semiconductor company seeks a Analog Field Applications Engineer home based to cover the Midlands / North UK to support their continued drive across the UK customer base (mainly via the distribution segment).
Prospective candidates will provide support to the distribution network, provide training to both internal & external customers and provide direct support to a range of customers in the defined UK territory.
Responsibilities for the Analog Field Applications Engineer include:
Day to day management of design win activity with the customer base
Assist with the definition of new products
Manage existing multi-million pound business
Be the technical front line contact to all levels within assigned Distributor and end customers
Establish (new) and maintain (existing) relationships with all key personnel within the distributor and end customers.
Promote and establish our client as a vendor of choice.
Provide training where required
Introduce, promote and secure design-wins of new integrated circuits.
Monitor current market environment and provide competitive intelligence (on price levels, lead times, etc.)
Candidates are likely to be technically qualified with a strong emphasis of experience in signal chain analogue or power electronics (ADC/DACs, DC/DC, PSU, Op-amps, PLLs) as well as ideally having knowledge of either OEM or Distribution accounts. Young engineers with limited commercial experience will be considered. In addition you will need to have excellent inter-personal skills, ability to communicate, and be comfortable with all levels across all groups - socially as well as within the business environment.
