Commodity Manager required for my client located in North Wales
The Commodity Manager, North Wales's main duties will include:
Responsible for gaining agreement on the definition and implementation of a new product sourcing strategy, focused on cost, reliability, flexibility and risk. Manage Sourcing Strategy Review process. Provide detailed component cost and product BOM analysis. Identify, communicate and mitigate risks in the sourcing plan. Responsible for agreed BOM cost targets. Manage negotiations and develop contracts for electronic components and equipment. Maximise multi-sourcing opportunities. Identify and approve new suppliers where necessary in conjunction with Commodity Managers
The ideal candidate will have experience in field of electronic component and/or equipment sourcing
Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience. Strong communication skills. Have a strong commitment to continuous improvement. Be a highly motivated self starter and team play. Have strong analytical skills with competency in Excel.
