My client design and manufacture a complex range of optical instrumentation products that are sold all over the world.
They current require a Senior Test Engineer / Manager to join their expanding business.
They have a small test department with 2 test engineers at the moment so this will be a very hands on role more focussed on managing the test function they a heavy weight man management role.
Role
To deliver test and development services within a small multidisciplinary R&D team of technicians and engineers. The role is primarily concerned with testing and analysis of optical / electro-mechanical products. The successful candidate will also be involved in new projects including working with customers in the proposal and specification of optical sensing systems.
The main duties of the Senior Test Engineer / Manager will be:
Running the companies Test Laboratories
Lead a small team of engineers/technicians.
Static pressure & temperature rigs, vibration rig, dynamic pressure rig.
Functional testing and calibration of sensors and optoelectronic interrogators.
Equipment calibration and maintenance to ISO9001.
You must have strong Labview skills and be used to development of Labview based test software, development of new test rigs and equipment.
Experience of any of the following is highly advantageous: Fibre Optics, Optoelectronics, Lasers.
