Digital ASIC Design Engineer position with well known Semiconductor leader based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
My client is a pioneer in mixed signal design for mobile handsets, and has shipped hundreds of millions of units into this market. As part of substantial growth they currently seek a high calibre Digital ASIC Design Engineer to join their Edinburgh team and the drive development of the next generation of mobile display drivers.
Reporting to the Digital Design Manager, this role will encompass the entire ASIC development phase from requirement specification, RTL design, synthesis, STA and netlist, through to the backend P&R for digital hand-off. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide variety of activities throughout the design process and have the opportunity to undertake international travel if desired.
Required:
*A strong academic background - BSc/MSc in Electronic Engineering or similar
*Several years' prior experience in Digital IC Design, with fluent skills in VHDL/Verilog RTL coding
*Synthesis experience and STA
*Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
*A proactive work ethic, good team spirit
*Any knowledge / experience of analog or mixed-signal design would be a plus
