My client, a leading global manufacturer of Pro Audio equipment, requires a Hardware Research & Development Manager to work out its facility in Manchester. The successful Hardware R&D Manager will manage all aspects of my clients hardware department, developing large scale multi- processors, digital consoles and networks, along with traditional analogue mixing consoles. Managing teams of design engineers directly, the role is focused on delivering projects on time and to budget. Key Responsibilities of the Hardware R&D Manager: • Manage multiple concurrent projects • Work closely with product and conceptual teams in UK and internationally. • Responsibility for the overall quality & design of hardware output • Innovate To be considered for the Hardware Research & Development Manager role applicants should : • Hold a degree, or equivalent in electronics or relevant engineering discipline. • Have experience of hardware engineering management. • Demonstrate strong man management skills • Be familiar with Pads Schematic and PCB design systems, Xilinx FPGA tools and Autocad mechanical design. • Have experience of high speed digital design in a low noise environment. • Have experience of FPGA design & implementation. • Have experience of Real time multi processor systems. • Understand EMC & Global safety design requirements.
