Senior Embedded Software Engineer - L2/3, Test - Germany - Contract
A global telecommunications client is currently recruiting for an experienced software test and development engineer with good knowledge of L2/L3 of the protocol stack for an initial 6 month contract based in Germany.
Responsibilities
- L2/L3 protocol stack development and commercialisation of the stack with customers
- Analysis of mobile traces and fixing of reported defects
- Development of test cases with a focus on identified defect/problem area and to increase/maintain test coverage using a proprietary PC based test environment
- Technical responsibility for specific feature development derived from LTE protocol standards on an as needed basis
- Contribute to maintaining the quality and architectural coherence of software components as it evolves over the lifecycle
Essential Experience
- At least 5 years working experience in protocol stack design and development
- Solid knowledge of LTE protocol standards layers 2/3
- Knowledge of signalling procedures and scenarios occuring in real live networks
- Strong knowledge of C in an embedded environment
- Good knowledge of Clearcase for configuration management
