My client is a leading wireless broadcast solutions provider that works with some of the biggest names in the broadcast industry. They are an exciting company working on some very interesting projects and currently seeking a Software Contractor with expertise in low level embedded software design.
You will be working independently and with a team on new product design.
Key Responsibilities
Embedded software design in C/C++ for an embedded Linux platform
Low level device driver development: frequency synthesizers, modulators/demodulators and Ethernet
Bringing up custom CPU board and systems
Debugging custom boards using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers etc. and schematics
Experience Profile
At least five years of experience in embedded software design
At least two years of experience in embedded Linux development
Background in broadcast or digital video
Exposure to any of the following:
Wireless communications (UHF/microwave bands)
Video compression (MPEG-2, H.264)
Audio compression (MPEG-1 Layer 2, MP3, AC3, AAC)
A project is in the balance and so there is real urgency with my client.
