Senior CAD Engineer, Solidworks, Oxford
Our client is a small technology based company specialising in the development of variable power lenses. Their technology has already been used to bring cheap, effective vision correction to thousands people in the developing world. They also develop solutions for commercial applications in the optical industry.
We are searching for a candidate with the following profile:
Good and relevant academic background or equivalent
Experience as a CAD Engineer in a commercial environment
Minimum 3 years of commercial experience
"Hands-on" approach to understanding and solving engineering problems.
Experience in 3D CAD and associated processes.
Ability to manage and lead development projects.
Experience and understanding of any of the following would be desirable
Optics.
Medical devices.
Product design (general), including FEA and other CAE tools.
Design transfer to manufacture.
Plastics manufacture and injection moulding.
Knowledge of ISO9001 and related quality standards and procedures.
This role may involve some overseas travel.
