Product Investigation Engineer

Quality Engineer required with product investigation experience. The role will support the lab activated of failed/rejected products within an aerospace manufacturing company.
You'll be responsible for fault finding and the whole investigation process to troubleshoot and determine cause of problem. The products could be materials, metallurgy, plastics, sensors, thermocouple, vibrometers, speed probes or mechanical related. You'll perform electrical test and use of microscopes. You'll also have to report your findings to the engineers or the customer.
You'll be a technical engineer with a degree in Metallurgy, materials science, physics or Mechanical Engineering - or equivalent. You'll be familiar with research based labs, be hands on, inquisitive but also be able to work to deadlines. You must be able to converse with all levels of management, engineers and customer.
