My client design and manufacture a broad range of Scientific Instrumentation equipment.
They currently require a Senior Software Test Engineer to join their rapidly expanding business.
Key Responsibilities:
To be responsible for testing the software interfaces to their instruments that meet the end users needs for ease-of-use, accuracy of data and reliability, to provide support for the software release process and be responsible for producing audit ready documentation according to the development procedures.
The successful candidate will be able to:
Work with the software development leader to lead a number of junior test engineers and assign them tasks in order to meet our development targets.
Design, execute and document test cases to validate the software with its functional requirements.
Make use of test automation tools to provide regression testing of software features during the development process and to track the testing of features against both the user and functional requirements. Test automation tools should also be used to check for code coverage to ensure all code paths have been adequately tested.
You will also provide customers with the benefits of higher quality software reliability through the creation of test cases and test procedures for process algorithms/validation software within projects. These activities would be greatly advanced with use of Test Automation allowing them to be applied to all future projects where applicable.
Experience:
Preferably experience leading a team of test engineers but with a minimum of 3 years professional test experience to a senior level.
Experience with scripting and an understanding of the software build process on a Windows platform.
Test automation skills.
