Key manufacturer in the Semiconductor / IC industry seeks a Digital Systems Design Engineer to join their wireless transceiver design group based in the Thames Valley.
A unique vacancy for a Digital Systems Design Engineer has arisen with our client, a major multinational Semiconductor company based in Berkshire.
The successful design engineer will work closely with the system development team to devise new transceiver architectures and will take responsibility for design and implementation of digital baseband modules. This is a wide-ranging role that will see the Design Engineer working through to layout, circuit evaluation, testing, and supporting all aspects of final product release.
The ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a strong Digital Design background, familiar with FPGA design using VHDL/Verilog tools. You will have a strong fundamental understanding of analog and digital signal processing, ideally with a good working knowledge of wireless communication principles. Strong initiative and interest in system level design is essential; any experience working in the domain of software radio would be a real plus. The right candidate will be a good problem-solver, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with many different groups.
