This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Manager - Hazloc to join my client located in Cheshire

The successful Engineering Manager in Cheshire will lead engineering teams within a Lean Six Sigma organization to achieve corporate objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.

Role responsibilities:
*Manages the performance of team members (to include remote staff). Defines accountabilities.
*Establishes employee/team performance measures and goals in support of the global vision.
*Develops a competent team by overseeing the selection, development and training of team members. Maintains awareness of employee morale and institutes appropriate employee-relations activities. Maintains team contingency and succession plans.
*Drives customer loyalty by engaging in regular customer interaction. Anticipates customer needs and provides proactive solutions. Gathers, shares and responds to customer feedback. Coaches and mentors staff to do the same.
*Collaborates and builds trust within the organization and with customers to meet or exceed their expectations. Develops strong, flexible cross-functional networks and global relationships to promote becoming the fastest, highest quality and most customer-friendly organization. Coaches and mentors staff to do the same.
*Communicates and exemplifies UL's Vision and Mission.
*Promotes a Lean and continuous improvement culture.
*Manages costs in accordance with assigned budget.
*Frequent international travel will be required.

Job Requirements:
*Degree or HNC/HND qualification in Engineering (mechanical/electronics/electrical)
*Solid experience as lead or participant in cross-functional global projects; worked in multiple functions and regions. Lean Sigma Green Belt or Lean Leadership Training, Gage R&R experience or equivalent preferred.
*Experience with ATEX and IECEx schemes, with specific methods of protections such as Flame proof, or Intrinsic safety, or Non Incendive or Purge and pressure.
*Extensive experience with standards such as IEC/EN 60079 0,1,2,7,11, 15,18.UL1203 ,UL 913 and ISA 12.12.0. In the area of certification.
*Installation codes as the NFPA 70 (NEC article 500 series), CEC C22.1 sections 18 and J18.
