Our client in Surrey, a manufacturer of gas-filled radiation detectors, is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join their organisation.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Production Supervisor will provide engineering support to the gas filled radiation detector manufacturing department, provide oversight of progress and ensure timely intervention or escalation as required to maintain delivery, quality and profitability, ensure that all quality and standard operating procedures are being followed and are provided as necessary to support manufacturing activities, review manufacturing/test records to confirm validity/accuracy prior to distribution to Customer/End-User, provide a long-term interface with Customer/End-User on manufacturing issues, discussing and agreeing solutions, manage and supervise the team to ensure that milestones are met, planning resources to meet production requirements.
The ideal candidate will have qualifications/experience in (electro-) mechanical engineering/manufacturing along with the ability to work confidently with engineering documentation including drawings, specifications & WI, good problem solving and team working skills, able to work under own initiative and experience of leading a team. There will also be occasions where UK travel will be necessary.
This location is commutable from Kings Cross, Gatwick, Crawley, Dartford, Harrow and Slough.
