Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description
Working as part of a multinational and multi-disciplined team you will be involved in a range of projects for the automotive and transport industries where the work is predominantly for the passenger car and truck markets. You will be supporting the design, development and integration of leading edge technologies using C.

Person Specification
You will be qualified to at least degree level and have previous industrial experience. In order to be successful, you will need to seek innovative solutions while working within tight timescales. Able to work well within multi-disciplinary project teams, you will be a self-starter with the determination to deliver to clear objectives.

Your degree qualification will be in a engineering, electronics, physics, or a software related subject with significant additional industrial experience and you will be expected to be familiar with the following:
*Experience of programming for Star12, HCXX microcontroller families
*Experience of writing low-level software drivers & state machines
*Software specification, design and test processes
*Software Configuration Management and tools (SVN/CVS)
*Experience of software testing, prototyping, debugging and code reviews
*Experience of working to quality standards and an understanding of the software development lifecycle (V-model)
*Experience of developing code for products from concept to production, preferably in the automotive industry

Knowledge/experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:
*Experience of working with Cosmic compilers
*Make, Linkers, Debuggers
*Using Vector tools, including GENy, CANbedded and CANdela
*Understanding of ISO-14229 diagnostic services
