Our client in West Sussex is currently seeking a Test Analyst to join their Testing team. Our client is the UK market leader in the manufacture and supply of intelligent Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), operating a worldwide distribution and support network with products installed in all types of non-residential buildings including shops, leisure centres, offices, schools, hospitals and factories.
Development activity is split between West Sussex and overseas with a large test team based overseas. The Test Analyst sits within the Development team who are responsible for control system development, covering a wide range of technical disciplines including hardware and mechanical design, embedded software development, LAN and WAN communications, web technology and PC software development. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that the whole test team (UK & overseas) contributes effectively to the UK based business.
The Test Analyst will be required to support activity overseas and ensure that the team work more efficiently with regards to priorities and resourcing. The Test Analyst will be required to develop processes and improve on existing processes as well as provide hands on pre - production, adhoc and non planned testing on software working closely with the development teams.
The ideal candidate will need to have a Degree or HND qualified in a relevant Technical Discipline or significant experience in a similar role, ideally electrical systems, process control, building controls, testing of embedded controls. In addition to software testing experience, The Test Analyst will also need to have experience in the commissioning and use of systems composed of Electronic hardware, Displays and PC based Software linked by Ethernet or other technologies, network protocols - TCIP. Experience of commissioning and using Trend or other BMS systems would be highly advantageous.
This role will mainly be office based in West Sussex with occasional travel overseas every year- 18 months. The position is commutable from Crawley, Brighton, Gatwick, Farnham, Croydon and Guilford.
