Based in Wiltshire, our client is currently seeking a 6 month contract Hardware Design Engineer for a leading wireless communications company. The successful Hardware Design Engineer will have a strong board-level digital and general electronic design skills, including some experience with high-performance DSP/CPU subsystems.

Key requirements:
Experience with all aspects of hardware development process including component selection, schematics, PCB layout supervision, board bring-up and debug, and design verification and testing.
Designing and verifying modern DSP/CPU subsystems including supply rail generation and power sequencing, clocking, DDR2/3 memory, high-speed serial interfaces such as Gigabit Ethernet and PCI Express and other lower-speed serial and parallel interfaces and peripherals.
Experience using Altium Designer CAD tools would be useful.
Familiarity with TI DSP processors or Intel CPU subsystems would be useful.
Experience developing WCDMA/LTE telecoms product hardware for volume production would be desirable
