This Semiconductor company seek to make key hires for a Senior and Manager Power Applications Engineer in Munich to support / conduct worldwide activity. The Semiconductor company are paving the way for breakthrough technology in the Silicon Carbide (SiC) market utilising over a decade's worth of Research and Development knowledge with key and influential executives from the industry.
The Senior Application Engineer will be responsible for:
- Developing application solutions for emerging markets using SiC components and ICs.
- Meet with customers and assist with new market development
- Present at key industry trade shows and promote products
- Be aware of Intellectual Property concerns in development of new products and;
- Address customer technical issues and solve them.
Responsibilities for Application Engineering Manager will be greater and involve both a deep-rooted background in Application Engineering and show strong signs of team leading skills (if not already demonstrable through experience). He/she will also be responsible for driving the company and it's products forward by way of business / competitor analysis, product road mapping, developing strong links with new and existing distribution channels but also, exploring new market avenues. There will also be some travelling involved.
The successful candidate will be educated to a solid Degree in an Engineering discipline and have demonstrable industry experience with minimum of 5 years, preferably as a Design / Application Engineer. The ideal candidate will come from a background in one or more of the following (others will be considered): Wind, High-Speed Rail, UPS, SMPS, Automotive and / or Solar. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge Linear / Switching Power Supply and possess a solid background in Power Electronics. A self-starter is preferred.
