Main Functional Role & Responsibilities
This role is based in the Swiss office of the company. It is essential for the candidate to be able to work closely with all disciplines within development team. The main activities are:
- Design of mechanical components
- Design of precision components for optical assemblies
- Custom enclosure design
- Thermal and stress analysis of assemblies
- Development of manufacturing fixtures
- Drive from concept through to volume production
Relevant Experience
- CAD design package such as Pro-Engineer, Solidworks, etc
- Thermal analysis software
- Design of injection moulded piece parts
- Vendor selection and design for manufacture
- Design to meet both EMC and thermal requirements
- Design of optical sub-assemblies would be an advantageous
- Design for volume manufacture
- At least 3 years post-academic experience
Qualifications
A strong academic record including qualifications in a numerate discipline (Electronic Engineering, Physics or Maths).
