Our client is a product and systems design company with interests in the communications, defence aerospace and medical sectors.

We are looking to recruit an experienced RF Design Engineer to join our client's Radio Group. As a RF Design Engineer you will develop custom transmitters and receivers for specialist communications systems, radio location or radar. Working in a consultancy environment, you will also be expected to meet clients, prepare proposals and work to strict timescales.

Key skills and experience:-
o Transmitter and receiver design skills with thorough knowledge of direct conversion and superheterodyne architectures
o Theoretical knowledge and practical experience of frequency mixing, frequency synthesisers, amplifiers and filters
o Experience of developing transistor amplifiers
o Experience of developing lumped element and/or printed filters
o An understanding of digital modulation schemes and a range of air interfaces, whether standards based or bespoke
o An understanding of the techniques used in developing radio electronics for a range of frequencies from DC to 5GHz or more
o Able to work as a member of a team or occasionally on your own
o Ability to write clear and concise English to a high standard.
o Good degree or postgraduate qualification in an appropriate subject
