Based in Switzerland, our client, a leading semiconductor manufacturer, is currently seeking an RF Applications Design Engineer to join their development team tasked with a mission to develop applications, resolve applications issues, review data sheets, design and develop new product applications/demo boards, define products and visit customers where on-site application support is needed.
The successful RF Applications Design Engineer will be required to provide applications support for ISM band RF transceiver products and solutions from concept through to production as well as resolving customer applications issues, working with design/test to ensure adequate test coverage and support evaluation of customer field returns.
The Successful Design Engineer will ensure compliance to specifications & customer requirements and will also be responsible for new product definition & verification, documentation of application notes, design & layout of evaluation boards and development tools.
Proven experience in transceiver design at 2.4 GHz is essential as is a comprehensive understanding of a variety of standard wireless protocols particularly Bluetooth. A BSc, BSEE or equivalent Engineering/Electronics degree is essential and you must have 5 years industry experience related to application board level RF Design from both a theoretical & practical perspective.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken are mandatory; second major European language (particularly French) is advantageous.
