This world manufacturer of switch mode power supplies seeks to make a key hire for a Mechanical Design Engineer, reporting to the Chief Mechanical Engineer. South East England, Electronic Packaging, Autodesk, CAD, Mould Tools, Test Jigs, Fixtures, Encapsulated Components.

The role will entail joining the Engineering Team in the development of custom power supply applications, working in a small team with responsibility of designing electronic closures and the creation of configured manufacturing Drawing Sets using AutoDesk Solid Modelling software.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to HNC or degree standard in a relevant engineering course, will have at least 2 years in electronic packaging and be familiar with thermal analysis techniques. Experience in the design of test jigs, fixtures and mould tools for encapsulated components would be advantageous.
