Following another very successful year with considerable growth we are continuing to seek talented new members of staff and require a Business Development Engineer with a clear appreciation of customer importance.
If you hold an engineering degree, have a firm understanding of microwave/RF applications and would be keen to put this to rewarding use in a customer-facing environment, we can offer you, as the incoming Business Development Engineer, the challenge which could give your career path an upward step change.
Firstly, as Business Development Engineer you will need to hold an engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in electronics with microwave/RF content. It is important that you are able to speak the technical language of our customers and understand their needs.
Then, a strong grounding in microwave/RF techniques and applications will be distinctly advantageous in enabling you to find synergy between these needs and our capabilities. Good communications and a high level of empathy as well as the ability to rapidly assimilate information and act with initiative will be your tradmarks as Business Development Engineer.
However, previous experience as a Business Development Engineer, while an attractive advantage, is not essential and full training will be given.
Your tasks will include pro-active contact with prospective customers, of varying size, and at all levels, within the telecommunications, defence, aerospace and scientific research sectors, a determined understanding of their real needs, matching these with our product benefits and the tenacious pursuit of the opportunities through to successful business transactions.
You will develop long term business potential within your remit to a plan and with mutually agreed goals and you will be expected to professionally manage the developed accounts for increased share and stronger business relationships.
Travel within the UK will be involved but the Business Development Engineer’s home location could be anywhere within easy reach of the travel network. Your own career development will be part of an attractive and negotiable salary and benefits package.
