The Redline Group are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer - Inventor to provide design support on bespoke customer projects. You will be based from offices in Buckinghamshire, often developing, detailing and testing parts and assemblies which are one offs.

Position Overview: Mechanical Design Engineer - Inventor

*Develop & build solutions for specific customer problems
*Design, detail and document custom parts and assemblies
*Create Bills of Materials
*Estimate cost and lead-time
*Progress parts to ensure that the project timescale is met
*Build & test custom assemblies
*Review product log to identify cost variance and recommend parts and assemblies
*Liaise internally to understand issues, in order to devise a competent solution.
*Provide additional resource to R&D as and when required

About You:
*Degree or equivalent in mechanical Engineering
*Strong mechanical design skills within electronics industry (Electro-mechanical systems)
*Ability to use CAD(Autodesk Inventor - Strong Preference)
*Experience of FEA
*Design For Manufacture
