Superb Bristol-based opportunity for a Senior Digital Physical Design Engineer.

Our multinational Semiconductor client really sets the bar for excellence in visual high tech computing. They now seek a Senior Digital Physical Design Engineer to join their high-calibre silicon team and play a key role in the design and implementation of high performance microprocessor chips, from RTL through to final GDSII.

The successful candidate will possess a strong academic degree (1st or 2:1) in Electronic Engineering or related field with an established background in Digital ASIC Physical Design.
*Extensive industrial experience in CMOS digital design and implementation
*Solid knowledge of the backend flow with hands-on expertise in floorplanning, powerplanning, Place & Route (P&R), CTS, timing closure
*Strong understanding EDA tools and their limitations for RTL to GDSII design
*Experience with Magma or Synopsys tools would be ideal
*Excellent problem solving skills and ability to 'think outside the box'
