A leading smart metering technology organisation is looking for an embedded software engineer who has firmware experience writing on electronics platforms. This global business leads the way in metering products for the gas, electricity and water industry. The role is full lifecycle development role offering integrated solutions from transmission to point of use.

The Role…

The successful Embedded Software Engineers will be joining a growing and successful development team consisting of Electronics, Software, Mechanical and Test Engineers. The purpose of this role is to develop, test and qualify electronic metering products.

You'll be responsible for the design and definition of embedded software and firmware for the electronics platforms. You'll be involved in the overall performance of the D&D function and development of software utilising the relevant design tools. You'll be required to work closely with Project Team Leaders on the planning and coordination of certain projects. This role is critical to the business so you'll be key to the success of the team and will deliver invaluable expertise to their products.

Technical Skills:

*Embedded C/Assembler
*Real Time Operating Systems
*Microcontroller design (ARM)
*Communication Protocols - IP, Wifi, GPRS or GSM
