Workshop Manager required for my client located in Hertfordshire.

Job Description:
To manage and coordinate the Workshop's technical resources and personnel engaged in the calibration of products in Hertfordshire. Procure and allocate manpower and equipment as necessary to meet customer service schedules. Provide assistance to personnel and customer enquiries concerning technical, procedural and warranty issues. Ensure that customer returned products adhere to performance and quality specification.

*The main duties and responsibilities are:
* Interview, select, train, supervise and evaluate assigned staff
* Develop and implement departmental business plans concerning equipment and personnel
*Monitor department performance concerning quality and efficiency of repair processes
*Improve products by collecting reliable information and initiating corrective actions through procedures of the Quality System.
*Provide priorities for technical problem solving by various engineering groups
*Ensure technical manuals, documented procedures and service bulletins are available and used
*Establish working relationships and coordination with all departments
*Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned
*Deputise for manager when required.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education and hold an HNC or above in Electronic/Electrical Engineering. The individual must have a good technical knowledge from within a test and measurement workshop management environment with previous experience of working in a support and customer facing environment. The candidate must have people management experience and be computer literate with good word processing and spreadsheet skills. The familiarity of database management and report generation, alongside SAP knowledge and experience of a ticketing system/CRM would be desirable. The individual must have good written and verbal communications skills and be able to demonstrate leadership of a team. The candidate must be self confident and have the ability to work on their own initiative and be able to priorities workloads and achieve the required timescales.
