Systems/Applications Engineer - Berkshire
My client are world leaders in the development of an advanced range of software systems. They are looking to support their successful Instruments platform business in the UK and Ireland, and are looking to increase their Systems Engineering skill base in this area of their product range
In this position the employed systems engineer would work with key Modular Instrumentation hardware and Test and Measurement software (LabVIEW and TestStand). As RF is a growth technology within this portfolio this candidate would be expected to have demonstrable knowledge for RF from broadcast to cellular communications experience.
The systems engineering role is a customer facing role, a candidate would be expected to work with the UK and Ireland sales teams working on Proof of Concepts, systems assurance design reviews and when required discussions about system architectures. The systems engineer would also be expected to attend joint visits with the sales team to enhance the technical discussion during these sales visits. They may also be required to support a customer post sales in the form of start-up assistance for complex systems.
We are looking for CVs of applicants with the following credentials:
*Minimum 2.1 Electronic/Electrical Engineering Degree
*Strong engineering background in analog, digital and signal processing systems (RF Communications specialization a plus)
*3-5 years of work experience in analog and communications signal processing implementation a plus
*Programming skills in C, C++, C# and VB experience
*National Instruments LabVIEW, LabWindows / CVI, TestStand proficiency a plus
*Very strong professional skills (effective communication skills, drive, commitment, customer service orientation, project management and organization skills)
