Senior Physical Design Architect sought for global Semiconductor firm in Germany.

A superb opportunity for a Physical Design Architect with our client, a major Semiconductor firm developing smart card applications and operating systems out of their R&D site in Northern Germany.

Working with international development teams, the Physical Design Architect will lead and drive smartcard controller design, specifically setting up and driving concept development at the architectural level and design methodology. This role is suitable for a highly experienced engineer in the field of VLSI, with particular expertise in:
*Synthesis, Place & Route (P&R), STA, floorplanning and power analysis
*A good understanding of the complete digital design flow process, from front-to-backend
*40nm design and below
*Cadence tools
*Knowledge of design flow development ranging from analog to digital would be a plus

Fluent language skills in English are essential, as English is the main spoken language within the team. German skills would be a definite plus.
