Provider of specialist purpose equipment for the power generation industry with clients across the whole world. The business are responsible for all of their own innovative conceptual designs and are real experts in their field. They are looking for an Electronic Design Engineer with solid experience in Electronic Hardware Design with some exposure to software design to join their team in Loughborough. They are a very innovative business who do true engineering, a fantastic opportunity for any Electronic Design Engineer.

CANDIDATE
The business are looking for someone with:

. A Degree in Electronic Engineering or something closely related such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering 2:2 minimum

. A strong background in Electronic Hardware Design with some exposure to software design

. Someone flexible - the position will involve both electronic hardware design and some embedded work, the mix of this can depend heavily on project requirements so you're flexibility is crucial

. PCB and schematic design. He company use Mentor Graphics for PCB design but are open on previous package used.

. Experience with Analogue circuit design is preferred

. Any knowledge of protection relays is a real bonus but is not essential


ROLE
You will initially spend some time at the company's Manchester office to learn from the current Electronics Engineering team before ultimately taking your position in Loughborough. The main responsibilities of the position will be:


. Electronics hardware design - design of PCB's and schematics
. C Programming
. Embedded systems design using PIC, ARM9
. Testing and de-bugging of hardware and software
. Development of both hardware and software designs
. Technical report writing
