Hardware Design Engineer with broad experience to work with a leading Number Plate Recognition company based in Hertfordshire. As the main point of contact for Electronic development you will work with Software and Firmware Engineers on new designs.

To lead and manage the design of vision hardware for a leading supplier in image recognition solutions.
A team player that will liaise closely with operational product development, software development and marketing in the drive to develop leading hardware solutions that will ensure the company leads market competition, and in line with internal goals of cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar industry and have experience in the design of cameras/enclosures with emphasis on associated supporting assemblies, and enclosures that will meet a wide range of environmental challenges.
Supporting experience in LEDs & LED optics, camera technology and thermal management are key.

Lead hardware design engineer responsible for the design and verification of hardware.
Production of high quality design, development and implementation documentation.
Technical liaison with software and firmware design teams (at system and equipment level) to ensure software, firmware and hardware interwork coherently.
Technical Qualification and Certification of solutions in line with industry and legal requirements
Project management and reporting of deliverables against timeline , and specification objectives

Extensive experience of hardware design of cameras and supporting enclosure technology.
Extensive experience in enclosure heat management.
Experience in lighting technologies in LED Infra red and white light.
